Banner confectioning
Confectioning of large-format banners is a finishing process that prepares the banner for installation and use. It includes a variety of techniques for reinforcing, treating and adding fasteners that increase the durability of the banner and allow it to be hung easily and safely.
Elements of banner confectioning
1. Edge welding:
• Involves double folding the edges of the banner and welding them together, which strengthens the material and prevents it from fraying.
• Welding can be done with hot air, electric pulses or special tape.
2. Meshing (riveting):
• Metal or plastic grommets (rivets) are placed in the edges of the banner, which allow it to be attached with ropes, zip ties or hooks.
• The standard spacing of the eyelets is 50 cm, but it can be customized.
3. Tunnel (sleeve):
• Creating tunnels at the edges of the banner through which tubes or cables for hanging can be passed.
• Tunel jest szczególnie przydatny w systemach wolnostojących lub na masztach.
4. Reinforcing tapes:
• Reinforcement tapes are applied to the edges of the banner to further protect the material from tearing at the attachment points.
5. Cutting to size:
• The banner is precisely cut to the required size using thermal cutters or a laser, which ensures aesthetically pleasing and even edges.
6. Panel joining:
• For very large banners that exceed the maximum width of the material, the individual panels are joined by welding.
Types of sealing
depending on the application
1. Banners for buildings and scaffolding:
• Welded edges and meshes every 50 cm.
•Optional tunnels for fixing lines.
2. Fence banners:
• Welded and meshed along the entire perimeter.
• Optional addition of reinforcing tapes.
3.Free-standing banners:
• Tunnel at top and bottom for routing tubes or poles.
• Additional reinforcement at corners.
4. Banners for roll-up systems:
• Precision cutting to size and mounting in the mounting system.
Advantages of banner confectioning
Durability:
• Reinforced edges and grommets protect the banner from mechanical damage and tearing.
Easy assembly:
• Thanks to grommets, tunnels or tapes, banner assembly is quick and easy.
Aesthetics:
• Precise finishing makes the banner look professional.
Customization:
• The confection can be customized according to the place and method of installation.
Summary
Confectioning of large-format banners is a key production stage that affects the durability, functionality and aesthetics of the finished product. Properly selected finishing techniques ensure that the banner will not only be visually striking, but also practical in use and resistant to harsh weather conditions.
